I am a second year PhD student at Univ. of California, Riverside. My research is focused on applying database and machine learning techniques to healthcare and social media.

Some of my recent projects include:

• Learning predictors of future diseases using a database of electronic health records.

• Analyzing the content of online social networks, particularly, health social networks such as WebMD.

• Efficient query processing across a database of electronic health records, where each record and the query is represented as set of UMLS concepts.

• Evaluating the accuracy of medical information extraction systems on clinical text.
