Greetings!
I have 30 years in technology, the great majority of which is in startups or turnarounds. At one time or another I’ve held every role in the tech universe, from Database Administrator to Network Manager to Chief Architect to VP of Engineering to CTO, meaning, if necessary I can probably do anybody’s job (I hope it’s not). For many years I’ve switched between senior software architect roles and senior management roles, a breadth of experience I believe makes me better at both.
Most recently in my consulting practice, at Greenway Health I led the startup of Polaris, the company’s new flagship cloud-based Electronic Medical Records product, serving as stand-in for both the Chief Architect and VP of Engineering until their hires c.12 months later. I led the technology stack and key architectural decisions, launched the migration from legacy data center to public cloud (AWS), and led the technical and organizational maturation of Engineering, QA, RE and DevOps once the key hires were in place.
I’m open to either consulting or a permanent position if the fit is right.
Please see my LinkedIn profile for nineteen very kind recommendations from clients and colleagues: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/mark-phillips/1/451/892.
Cheers!
