I started programming on an Apple IIe, and wrote a hearts game on my first Mac (an SE with 1 MB of RAM). I wrote the first MacOS MySQL client library in 1995. In the late 90's I ported MySQL to run on MacOS 8 on an original iMac.
I developed/sold MacSQL from 1998 through 2008. From 2010-2015 I worked at West Virginia University on Rc2, a distributed learning system, for the statistics department. OS X and iOS clients allowed virtual classrooms to work remotely with R and SAS.
Starting in 2016 I'm working full time on an open source version of Rc2 with funding from a client.
