I started out many many moons ago programming 6502 and 8086 assembly language for fun, and over the years graduated to Basic, Fortran, BCPL, C, Pascal, Modula-2, Lisp, Prolog, Java and lately Python and R, besides of course the run-of-the-mill web technologies (HTML, Javascript, PHP, ASP, etc.) and utility languages (SQL, SED, AWK, Postscript, Bash, etc.). However, my background is in the arts - for me coding is something I do to relax.
