Working on my own websites using Ruby on Rails. I started out with RailsTutorials.org, and a Ruby Nanodegree at Udacity. My favorite book lately has been Rails Beyond Basics by Kevin Skoglund. I have yet to finish the book, but he really hits home on bridging the gap from learning to being.
I have a few projects of my own. A local directory for interesting places and people
A subscription service using Stripe for crafty people
and An idea tracker, for personal goals
I've been iterating between working on small mini apps based on a tutorial, or trying out something to working on my own apps.
StackOverlow has been making a difference along the way.
Happy coding!
