I get paid to do research into cancer and cardiovascular disease. I enjoy doing experiments but the most exciting part of research is analysing my data, making new connections, and contributing to the field.

I started out using SPSS, but have been using Python to have custom scripts for interpreting data and using machine learning algorithms. My current project generates many images which require processing to yield useful insights, so I'm learning to apply Python to address issues in image segmentation and analysis.
