Even though I often use "BigOrangeGeek" as a handle or username, I'm actually a little technophobic. The invasion of assistive technologies into our minds and bodies, our culture and our politics, has some seriously creepy ramifications for our near and medium term future. Every so often, I'll find myself standing right on the brink of agreeing with my mountain-man of a cousin, who argues that every technological innovation up to and including electricity should be repealed...

And then I realize that would mean living without code. And what sort of life would that be?
