I prefer strong typing for large projects, but weak typing with typecheckers for prototyping. I read RFCs for fun, bemoan the current state of consumer networking gear, and once got so frustrated at FreeRADIUS that I wrote an entire RADIUS server from scratch.

My strongest languages are C++ and Erlang, but I use whatever I need to get the job done.
