I have been a Debian developer since 2003, and I've contributed to a variety of other open source projects. I am the primary maintainer for Cedar Backup, a Python-based backup system for Linux.

Professionally, I work as a software consultant. On recent gigs, I've worked mostly in Java, but I use other languages and frameworks whenever they're a good fit. In a typical year, my work might range from shell scripts and Python utilities to business rule systems, RESTful APIs, or web applications.
