About

A proven technologist turned IT leadership evangelist I have found myself over the last 5+ years leading and building high-performance teams as part of a private equity-based company. My roots are key contributor turned player-coach, but I’ve found that the only thing that motivates me more than tackling a technical challenge is instead leading a team to do something together that none of us could do alone. As a leader, I am a firm believer that people are a company’s greatest asset, truly remarkable results only come great teams, and great teams come from intentional and engaged leadership that works to build an environment that fosters trust and allows people to innovate without fear.

I specialize particularly in rapid automation and management of technical operations with a focus on cloud modernization, configuration management, and infrastructure as code. I have enjoyed a side of the business that many don't, which is post acquisition integration. Figuring out how to take over and manage the technical operations of a new business and build a cohesive management plan.

I have a proven track record of leadership and have managed various facets of IT, from supervising a team of software engineers and leading them through an agile transformation, to building a business intelligence practice, with board visibility, for the entire company from the ground up, to leading mission-critical cloud modernization projects that take our acquisitions from a paradigm of monolithic self-hosted SaaS applications and providing real transformative leadership to guide them through the cloud-native migration process.

Over the years, the positions that I have always seen the largest and longest lasting impacts were the ones where we’ve already delayed too long and now we need to commit, we need to execute and deliver. We have been told the goal, but no one seems to know how to get there. I enjoy the challenge of not knowing the answers at the start, helping guide key leaders and contributors through the steps of a transformative process, asking questions to bring better understanding, and watching that project grow and flourish after completion.
