After getting my Master Degree in Electronics Engineering (mention in Digital Signal Processing), I have worked in commercial software projects since 2000, and in software for astronomy (specially for automated data archival and retrieval) since 2005, for organisations such as IAA-CSIC (Spain) and the European Southern Observatory (ESO, Germany). I later moved to managing technology projects in astronomy in 2011 (back in IAA-CSIC), with emphasis on the Spanish participation in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project. In 2014 I took the position of Systems Engineer at the SKA Organisation in charge of overseeing the development of the computing elements for the SKA, namely the Science Data Processor (SDP) and the Telescope Manager (TM). I am currently the Head of Software Product Management at SKA Observatory (SKAO) 6, the Inter-Governmental Organisation that has taken over the SKA Organisation to the deliver the SKA telescopes.
