I am a C++ programmer that has been into it since the age of 8. I started using Visual Basic for Excel and made really creative solutions for problems. At the age of 10 I discovered my school had a programming club. I joined and I was the "black sheep" of the club because everyone else had between 14 and 16 years. I started at first to prove them wrong about me not knowing, but then found out that programming was not to compete, well it is, but up to a point. The rest is just creative solutions to every day life problems. I ended up knowing a lot more than them and now I'm actually friends with them. At my age of 12, a programming student with experience at the IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics) started teaching me the complex side of programming. C++ to be exact, but also how to solve problems in a significantly less time than when I was 10 years old. At the age of 13, I qualified to represent my state at the OMI (Olimpiada Mexicana de Informatica) or the Mexican Olympiad In Informatics. In there I became the youngest person to ever win a medal, winning a Silver Medal, staying just a few points from gold medal. Now, I'm still 13 and I'm aiming to qualify to represent my country in the IOI 2017.
