Currently a music educator in Washington building skills and considering computer science or some other type of engineering... just in case.

I love to learn, and I think I rediscovered that about at the beginning of May 2012 when I ran into a reddit post about the announcement of edX. All of a sudden, I revisited Khan Academy and started discovering the amount of free education available online. I've always been on the fence about my decision to go into music rather than science/engineering, and now I don't have to spend thousands of dollars just to find out what I can do or what I like. Google Code University, Stanford's YouTube Channel, MIT OpenCourseware, Udacity, and of course Khan Academy are the resources I've been tapping into or expect to tap into in the future.

With the discovery that I can learn online, for free, at my own pace, I've decided I would be a fool not to use my capacities to develop my knowledge base in math, physics, and computer science.
