I'm a statistician and programmer, is that a data scientist? Either way, I program in R, C, and SAS; primarily this programming is done for research in machine-learning, spatial statistics, survey sampling, and non-parametric methods.

I have a fair number of R package on my github page and CRAN covering a diverse number of statistical methods such as MCMC, mean shift clustering, K-Nearest Neighbors, spatial sampling, and kernel methods.

In my free time, I like to play with my daughters, practice Taekwondo, go for runs, and continue some of my PhD work on image segmentation of agricultural fields.

I'm also the chair-elect for the American Statistical Association's Section on Statistical Programmers and Analysts (2018); let me know if you have any ideas for great webinars etc... in programming and machine-learning.
