I previously worked as a CSR; between calls I was bored and started writing little JavaScript tools in notepad that helped out my co-workers. I made some break timers, a calendar that counts business days for you, and an HTML notepad that loads all it's content from a text file. Most of the tools I wrote actually became really popular in my call center because for security reasons, we don't have access to the internet and we can't just find these online.

I've gotten very comfortable with JS and HTML. I tried to build a site before with PHP and wasn't a big fan, nodejs looks amazing and I am working to learn to build web applications now using the MVC (Model View Controller) standard. I also plan to try my hand at unit testing after I get a few nodejs web apps under my belt.

As of September 2013 I am now a student of Conestoga College and I am starting to appreciate a bunch of new languages (Python, Java, and C#).
