My career has spanned commercial software development from IBM mainframes to the present, including a long stint at Microsoft in the 80s and 90s, mostly working on developer tools. The first project I worked on was C 5.2. I left when the company was 20,000 employees--I don't like working in big organizations.
Today I'm focused on helping ISVs and enterprise IT shops migrate their legacy code to more modern platforms like the Web, the cloud, and mobile platforms. We do this with a combination of automatic code conversion and professional services and support. For more information, go to www.mobilize.net
I'm a lifelong sailor, former semi-pro race car driver, woodworker and photographer. I live in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains on a hobby farm with chickens, sheep, and three Border Collies.
