Joel cut his teeth as a software engineer in the games industry, shipping 12+ titles for franchises like CSI, Crash Bandicoot, Toy Story, and Prototype. After 7 years programming games for companies such as Disney, Ubi Soft, and Radical entertainment, Joel shifted his focus online.
While adjusting to the fresh new problems of the online world Joel was able to leverage his technical experience to assist many large companies as a technical consultant. Working as a hired gun for agencies like Blast Radius and Responsys in the UK, Europe, and the United States Joel tackled a multitude of problems, everything from data architecture, to creating and launching sophisticated customer life-cycle driven online marketing campaigns at times sending millions of emails / day.
