I created Panoramio, doing all the programming and design of the first versions, and remained the only programmer on the site until Google acquired us. Panoramio has an Alexa ranking (as of August 2009) of 700. On my spare time, long time ago I worked on AbiWord and Glade 3. I designed an improved version of the AbiWord backend and implemented a prototype. I also implemented for fun a Javascript interpreter in O'Caml. It was a good exercise to improve my understanding of Javascript and O'Caml in a short amount of time.
