I've been pursuing excellence in software since the early 1980's. At a stage in my career where others have long-since drifted into management, marketing, or technical obsolescence, I've remained - I hope :-) - a leading-edge developer; not for lack of other opportunities, but for three simple reasons - the never-stale pleasures of cool new software, the joy of continuous learning, and an inexhaustible love of making great new stuff.
I started my career as a mainframe operating systems developer for IBM, programming in IBM 370 Assembler H. Since then I've worked in a variety of industries and an even wider variety of computer languages - OS development, Compiler development, Telecom, Financial Services, Wholesale/Logistics, Social Media, Web Development, programming in Assembler, Basic, C, C++, C#, COBOL, CSS, Fortran, HTML, Javascript, Java J2SE, Java J2EE, Pascal, Perl, Python, PHP, Rexx, TCL and others I can't remember anymore. Too many OSes, and databases, to count.
Since 2008 I have been a freelance full-stack web developer, working primarily but not exclusively with Drupal. I do custom theming and custom Drupal module development, full site building/configuration/maintenance, and even site hosting on Ubuntu Linux servers I manage.
