James is a co-founder of Lioness, a startup that aims to enable sexual self-discovery and wellbeing through better tech-enabled products. In his spare time, he likes yak shaving with an overly complicated Emacs setup. He was at the Recurse Center in summer of 2013. He has presented posters on high performance computing and graphical bayesian models during his graduate program at UC Berkeley. He has reviewer credit on Data Wrangling with JavaScript from Manning Publications.

James holds an MBA from UC Berkeley where he was a Jack Larson Fellow in Entrepreneurship, a BA with Honors from Dartmouth, and an MS in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. He also holds a Data Science Specialization from the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and completed the course track for a PhD Designated Emphasis in Computational Sciences and Engineering at UC Berkeley.
