I'm freshman studying Software Engineering at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, in Terre Haute IN, and I'm pretty new at programing.
I've been working on a Text Based RPG engine in python as a fun project on my own since the middle of winter. I've code named my work in progress "Signet". My plans are to make a indepth environment system that tracks countless small factors of weather, time of day, season etc... to produce a more detailed (if textual) world. I think with good writing, a text based RPG can be as gripping as a graphics based game, and if it doesn't work out, someday my engine might be able to have graphics placed over it and still function mechanically.
