Professional programmer since 1994. My computing heroes—in terms of the most impact on my life and thinking—are Alan Kay, Bret Victor, and Rich Hickey. I am also an admirer of John von Neumann, Ivan Sutherland, Don Knuth, Butler Lampson, and Richard Stallman, and of course Alan Turing. Other amazing people I've been learning more about include Michael Rabin, Bob Frankston, and Fran Allen.
