I work as a software engineer for a local webdevelopment firm. My main role is creating and maintaining the backend for a content management system.
In my job I work daily with PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. And also linux isn't strange to me, and I know my way around in Subversion and Mercurial. My PHP framework of choice for implementing small and large webapplications is Symfony. Which is, together with Doctrine, a great framework.
But I grew up as a "Microsoft developer", so I'm also experienced and skilled in include Visual Studio, C#, ASP, IIS, Visual Studio Extensibility, (MS) SQL, .NET Compact Framework.
In my free time I'm the webmaster and chief editor of a local (non-profit) community website, group leader with the scouts and chairman of a LAN party organisation.
