I am a data hacker by trade, writing hideous regular expressions in sed or normalizing data in Python. I also code in Java and rarely do some stat modeling with R. My beginnings were as a humble C enthusiast during my undergrad years, which undoubtedly influences my coding style with OOP languages like C++ and Java. I blame the old school professors and Sourceforge projects I learned from for making me worry about trifles such as memory leaks and optimal search times.
Aside from coding, I also play guitar, write short stories, blog about random stuff on Tumblr (since I'm cheap), and occasionally contribute to Wiktionary (primarily etymologies of various obscure and/or random English words).
