Been a dev professionally since 1985 when at 16 wrote my first production app - a Lotus 123 script - for the credit card processing company I was summer interning at. Been on the Microsoft stack since 1990 with Borland C.
Currently with Jet.com (now a subsidiary of Walmart.com) as a director of Software Engineering, responsible for three scrum teams, 22 engineers total. We work on internal tooling, financial analysis, category planning & forecasting - all at Walmart scale.
We use F# / .NET stack on Azure primarily, but also React on the front end, Spark w/ Scala, Druid, Clickhouse, Redis, SQL Server, Cosmos DB and a bunch of other technology.
I have a personal interest in Haskell (current obsession), category theory, and Clojure (less so lately).
