I'm a PostDoc at AstraZeneca, having finished my PhD in Big Data Biology / Bioinformatics at the EMBL-EBI and the University of Cambridge.

My research has focused on the function and biogenesis of small non-coding RNAs and large scale analysis of biological datasets using machine learning, advanced statistics and parallel / distributed computing. Additionally, I have developed several web applications and stand-alone tools for the annotation of biological data (small RNAs).

My main interests at this period go round from Python and R to Machine learning (positive-unlabelled learning, autoencoders and GCNs) and human variation data.
