I am a pragmatic software engineering professional who finds great satisfaction from helping teams solve difficult problems using simple software solutions.

I have several years' experience architecting and engineering on-premise and cloud-native solutions that are resilient, high performing and scalable, all the while implemented using leading software engineering practices.

My most recent experiences have focused more on the backend architecture, covering everything from REST API's, daemon services, databases, infrastructure and container orchestration (provisioned as code), system integrations and DevSecOps.

I firmly believe in using the right tools for the job, and whilst most of my experience happens to be with Microsoft technologies and services, most of the concepts are transferrable and as quick learner I always relish in the challenge of using new programming languages, frameworks and tools.

Just like @dhh, I too would fail to write a bubble sort on a whiteboard. I look for solutions and inspiration on the internet all the time as I don't have all the answers, but I am resourceful and will objectively evaluate all the pro's and con's to find the most appropriate solution.
