I learned Ruby on Rails development back in 2012 for a brief five month internship and then I went on a long six year-ish hiatus away from web development. Last July I got back to it and have finished a few projects since, including a business website for a friend, a book review platform where authors can subscribe for a monthly fee to get unlimited reviews for their books on Amazon while the reviewer signs up for free and reads whatever they want in exchange for an honest review. All the reviews are submitted to quality control by the website moderator and given a helpful or non-helpful review which contributes to the scorecard of the reviewer who has to stay above 70% or better for them to stay on the platform. I've also recently started working on a simiple digital library app which I'm nearly finished with. More apps and projects to come.
