Having spent 23 years living in the beautiful city of Cape Town, I ventured forth into the great unknown of the Outside World and have been lucky enough to have lived in three more cities since: Paris, Prague and London (where I currently permanently reside).

During the day I manage a team of developers for a global Media Agency specialising in eCommerce development using Open Source Software including the excellent PHP Symfony framework and Magento eCommerce Software. The Internet and technology aren’t my only passions, though, as I am currently studying for a degree in Psychology specialising in Social and Research Psychology.

Random Facts:

• Ever the quintessential nerd, I have a passion for video games that would put the geekiest of developers to shame. Despite that, Candice will readily kick my ass at Soul Calibur 4.
• My love of comic books was evident even as a child where I would often be seen running around in either my Spider-Man or Batman costume.
• Also as a child, I watched Gremlins and the episode of Scooby Doo with a serpent monster a total of 107 times in 2 years. Why such a low number? VHS tapes don’t last forever
• During adolescence I acquired a mild sucrose intolerance (which meant my parents fed my insatiable love for books as gifts instead of evil chocolate).
• I have (unrelated) obsessions with World War II and New York City.
