In May of 2015, I graduated from Miami Dade College's School of Engineering and Technology with an Associate of Arts in Computer Science and a Web Development Specialist College Credit Certificate. While a student there, I had the opportunity to be a founding member of the Miami Dade College Programming Team, win a Florida International University Individual Programming Contest, and serve as Senate Pro Tempore of the Student Government Association.

Interested in continuing my education and diversifying my skillset, I set out to learn more about the application of the scientific method to UI design through big data analysis. Discovering that the name of this field of study is "informatics," I applied to the institution that pioneered it: Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). Having been recently accepted, I am currently a student at IUB's School of Informatics and Computing dedicated to perfecting my knowledge of big data aggregation and analysis for the improvement of user experiences.

While designing and building websites for the past decade, I have grown increasingly passionate about making the web a better place through accessibility and performance optimization. Although the road to a seamless user experience may be arduous, I am convinced that we can eventually evoke "delight" in our users.
