David Castner is the founder and CEO of Cicurina Studios. Previously, he was the Lead Software Architect at AcceleratedMFGBrokers and the Lead Software Engineer at Gridless Power. In his free time, David volunteered as the Director of Instruction for MontCode, an official campsite of FreeCodeCamp. As director, he answered students’ questions, gave lectures, lead workshops, and organized events.

In addition to programming, David has an interest in digital art and 3d modeling. He is a self taught digital designer with a degree in computer science, who discovered his passion for 3d modeling through college electives. David continues to educate himself on a daily basis and has mastered many industry standard applications such as Autodesk Maya, Unity, and Substance Painter.

Away from the computer, David pushes his artistic boundary and creativity by crafting delicious meals. David has a particular interest in healthy asian cuisine due to the presentation, modern simplicity, and flavor profile. He enjoys sharing this interest by cooking for others, whether it’s just a family meal or dinner party with friends. Additionally, he loves playing with dogs. He will be sure to stand out at the park with the family’s three yellow labs.
