Dan is a life-long geek, having been fascinated with computers since early childhood. He cut his teeth, like many, on Java and PHP, but found Ruby via Ruby on Rails in 2005... building one of the first successful Rails-based SaaS ventures… and never looking back. He has worked at startups, large companies and solo ventures, including MITRE, Novell, Ingersoll Rand and HealthTalker.

These days, Dan works as Software Architect at WorkBright, helping to build and grow their amazing paperless onboarding platform. He resides in Erie, CO with his wife and two children. When not writing code, mentoring or leading the team at WorkBright, he's probably out and about with his family, enjoying the Colorado sunshine.
