I am a civil engineer and land surveyor. Started programming in Basic in the early eighties then moved on to LISP, the AI type language, then AutoLISP due to the fact that AutoDesk Inc, required auto lisp programs to customize autocad. I have been a regular user of AutoCAD since 82 and for that reason I have kept on programming to continue customizing it. I started in Basic C in the late eighties and even did my Senior Project in college on a c-program that designed multi-story steel framed buildings then transferred the data into Autocad for a graphic representation. Off to C++ when that came out and basically for the last 10 years I have been keeping up with it, but the since registering with Apple as an iOS programmer, I realized I could add another income stream to my life, however small it may be, but I have decent ideas that are targeted toward my profession, which may make decent money. I am also a private pilot and the bummer is all my spare time has been taken up by an app I'm working on so the plane is left in the hangar.
