I'm an engineer who builds stuff that matters.
Professionally, my resume buzzwords are Ruby, Erlang, Elixir, Javascript, React, Rails, Phoenix, Sinatra, and a few others, but anyone in the tech industry could tell you that these are the least descriptive things you could use to describe an engineer.
Rather than follow the industry trend of saying I'm an "XYZ Engineer", I simply solve problems that have software solutions. Sometimes Ruby is the best answer, sometimes it's Elixir, and sometimes I get to learn something new to solve problems better.
I do my best work when building scalable & distributed server-side stuff, but I can do a decent job programming a front-end in Javascript - just don't ask me about web page design.
