I develop software using C#, F#, and SQL. Going on 17 years now with .Net. WebForms, MVC, Winforms, WPF, WebAPI, .Net Compact Framework, Windows services, console apps, etc. I'm by no means a master of everything .Net, but at some point I've touched on probably everything and have yet to run into something I could not figure out or learn. And that is one of the things that keeps it interesting - learning new technologies and techniques on the fly. The latest that I've just started touching on at work is Blazor and coming up is training and working with the cloud (Azure and AWS).

In the past 2 years or so I've added F# and functional programming to my repertoire. I've developed a few apps at work in this language and paradigm and I am sold on it. It's a shame it is such an overlooked part of the .Net ecosystem. It has some real advantages and benefits over C#/OOP and is a joy to work with.

Before I settled on the .Net platform I spent several years doing Java development at four successive startups that all cratered. And before that I was doing C/C++ and FoxPro development.

Obviously I love to design, code, and deliver quality software that solves problems. I've been fortunate in finding a skill, a craft, for which I have a natural aptitude and which I enjoy doing. I look forward to continuing to solve interesting problems using interesting technologies as a senior software developer.
