I generally work on large commercial sites. Some databases with a many as 250 million records. I used to be strictly an Microsoft .Net and MS SQL Server developer and married to Windows and IIS. However I have embraced MySQl and Linux, and I can't say which is better, but they are both interesting. .Net has a much richer environment.
The .Net framework is where most of the work is now, which usually means MS SQL. So that is my current work. Of course javascript has taken over the world with all of its libraries. Now I am fooling around with mongodb , mapping, whatever else comes along. Go has become interesting as well, hoping for chance to work at concurrency at some point in time.
