Welcome to my humble profile. :) My name is Chris and I am programmer (who would have guessed that, eh? ^^) with an Advocate (INFJ-T) personality. ^^
After getting my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, specialising in Industrial Automation, I moved from Germany to New New Zealand to persue a lifelong dream of mine of living and working abroad. ^^
During my studies, which was an integrated degree program, I worked as a Database Developer on Oracle Database 11gR2 and later on became the go-to person for Oracle Application Express.
Now I am working as a JavaScript Developer for a start-up company in Wellington and love it thus far. Heaps of challenges and new stuff to learn and old stuff to deepen my knowledge, such as DevOps and SysAdmin tasks. :)
One of my greatest passions is programming in C, because this is pretty much the first programming language I taught myself when I was still in middle school. I also like algorithms and mathematics, that's why I am trying to solve some of the Project Euler problems. :D
When I am not programming, I am probably reading. I love reading Classic books or books about all kinds of IT related topics. As part of my Advocate personality I am constantly trying to improve myself and gain more knowledge. ^^
Apart from all the "boring" stuff, I love to be outdoors and train or go on hikes. :)
