I am a Program Manager & Senior Software Developer at RTI International, Center for Data Science. I have a great deal of experience using a variety of distributed computing products to tackle big compute intensive problems. Most recently this has involved a lot of custom Apache Spark based work. I have experience designing, and developing very large databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Apache Drill) as well as developing, maintaining, and running applications on Amazon’s AWS utilizing their EC2 compute resources and web services.

I have developed many REST based APIs and web applications on both Linux and Windows. I have also been tasked with a variety of DevOps type work - including building, orchestrating, and monitoring Docker container-based systems on a variety of implementations ranging from local clusters to AWS-based infrastructure.
