I am a dedicated IT professional with 28 years’ experience and currently hold Scotland Disclosure security clearance, having in the past been SC cleared for work at Greater Manchester Police and New Zealand Customs. From 1988 to 2002 I was a developer, firstly in C, then in C++, Oracle Pro*C and PL/SQL. Since 2002 I have been a quality-driven test analyst and have applied my knowledge of best practices, processes and standards to improve the quality of delivered software in a variety of commercial environments, including Banking, Legal, Retail, Gaming, Education, Utilities and Government. I have successfully tested Web, N-tier, Client-Server and mainframe platforms, using both Agile SCRUM/Kanban and Waterfall methodologies, having implemented Agile processes in my last 2 contracts. I am a logical thinker and apply this approach to problem solving, being capable of communicating at all levels with excellent interpersonal skills. Throughout my career, my mantra has been “What’s the best possible way that I can do this?”
