I am currently a Computational Genomics Specialist at the NIAID Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch (BCBB) in Bethesda Maryland living near Frederick, Maryland.
I formerly worked at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas on the Influenza Research Database (IRD) supporting influenza virus bioinformatics. The lab also developed the Virus Pathogen Portal (ViPR) bioinformatics resource center (BRC) and the ImmPort Immunology Analysis Portal.
I am a doctoral candidate in Computer Science in search of a school, formerly at the University of Texas at Arlington. My research involved adapting deep learning techniques to develop a novel algorithm for influenza virus evolution. I am also passionate about python programming and reproducible science here and here.
