In 1990 i bought a NeXT Cube, serial no. AAK0016469. I was an okay C coder with an awesome theoretical Computer Science degree.
Objective-C soon became the best C-looks-like-Smalltalk solution I had known. It's still one of the most pure object-oriented, yet lets you get to the bones, computer languages around. Call me a bigot if you wish. Abstract to the level that's appropriate.
I used to be expert in both vi and emacs. Now my fingers remember enough for me to get by in either.
Now: C, Objective-C, and iOS expert. OO design and redesign expert. And I can get by in many many other languages. Don't tell anyone I used to be able to debug SENDMAIL.
Really loving Swift!
