Brian is an entrepreneur and a software engineer. He loves to create things.

Brian is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nearby. He co-founded the company with the goal of helping people make new friends by connecting them with other like-minded individuals living nearby. The social network connects millions of people every day. Nearby’s mobile apps have been featured in the major app stores, written about in major magazines and blogs, and downloaded by millions of awesome users across the globe. Nearby is an alumnus of the Stanford StartX accelerator.

Brian has had a lifelong passion for technology, design, and social dynamics. He was an early engineer at Coupons.com, StorSimple, and Portworx while they experienced tremendous growth. He has also worked for larger companies such as Microsoft and McKesson. Before Nearby, Brian also founded a mobile application development firm. He has successfully launched over 25 apps in the App Store and built websites in use by hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

Brian grew up in Palo Alto, CA. When he is not working on Nearby, he spends his time mentoring student entrepreneurs at Stanford University, judging hackathons, and playing tennis as much as possible.
