I previously worked at Google as a tech lead and manager on the Nearby team (part of Android).

Prior to joining Google, I led development of the Oracle IDE tool platform, which JDeveloper and SQL Developer are based on.

I've been programming in Java since bouncing head applets were all the rage back in the mid nineties.
