I have been writing software for over 35 years. Languages include: TRS-80 & Apple II basic; PD-11, 6502, Z80 assembler; Pascal; Modula; Unix, Microsoft C/C++; Visual Basic for Applications, Windows COM (not a language, but it should be); java, C#, and javascript. There are probably some I've missed, but you get the picture.
My current preferred software development environment is Visual Studio C#.
