I like computers because they do what I tell them to do. And they don't even try to read my mind. Kind of refreshing.

I've been coding a long time - long enough to spot BS when I see it, but not so long that I won't learn new things. Today I'm doing mostly web development, both server and client-side.

My background is C/Unix/Java. On the server side I'm comfortable with Java/Spring/REST or Ruby on Rails/REST. Not a big fan of server-side rendering of views.

On the client side I can do React/Redux or Angularjs and the full range of web technolgies including automation and devops. No Angular 2 yet.
