Björn is a Free Software (aka Open Source) and Open Standard evangelist, with a special interest in privacy respecting, distributed and federated networks. He studied computer science at the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Today he works as a senior software engineer at Nextcloud, building a completely Free Software cloud platform for all kind of data. Björn works as a volunteer at the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE), as the coordinator of the German-Team it is one of his responsibilities to support FSFE's activities in Germany.
