Please vote and donate to pass the Big Cat Public Safety Act to save Lions and Tigers and other big cats from being abused, exploited, enslaved, and tortured in captivity.

Why would people assume that a 300kg wild predator would be satisfied living inside a cage or a zoo, having 100% of its urges and instincts denied from being expressed?

It takes but 1 second of reflection to realize that a zoo is nothing more than enslavement, exploitation, and imprisonment. And all of this in the name of amusement, no less.

Of course, if you are the zoo owners and exploiters who are making millions of profits from this industry, you may disagree. But for the rest of you, what do you have to gain from this? In fact, you are paying for this. Your tax dollars are used to regulate this industry. Your tax dollars are used to ensure that someone who owns a tiger in their backyard is never allowed to walk the tiger in the park and that the tiger will spend its entire life walking in circles inside a cage.

And let's not forget how the sausage is made. The breeding process to bring these animals into existence is inherently abusive. The mothers are literally raped to death to create the cubs, the majority of which will die of birth defects because their fathers are the brothers to their mothers. Inbreeding is not only an accident and inevitability, but is actually part of the process to create animals with "desirable" birth defects, such as white tigers, etc. In order to keep the mothers continuously breeding, the cubs that she creates must be taken away from her basically immediately after birth. This is the only way to keep her in estrus. And if you don't think that a tiger mother cares about her cubs, consider the fact that in the wild tiger mothers risk their lives to protect their cubs from any danger.

My profile picture is the the white tiger that you don't see.
