I am a hard-working Kentuckian, and I take pride in my roots. I served in the United States Air Force from 2003 - 2009, and have been working in enterprise software as an engineer since 2009. During that time, I've always challenged myself, my team, and my company to consistently explore ways to better serve our customers, whether they are internal or external. I challenge myself each morning to be a better "me" than I was yesterday, professionally, as a husband and father, and spiritually.
Professionally, if you want to know what drives me and "gets me going" so to speak, there are 3 books that have highly influenced my current mindset regarding IT product delivery: The DevOps Handbook, The Phoenix Project, and Accelerate. Gene Kim and Jez Humble are brilliant. Automating as much of the SDLC as possible is my passion; I value the importance of tests, and hold the quality and maintainability of those tests in close regard as well.
