Bazza is a UK based engineer specialising in real time massively parallel signal processing applications. He won't get out of bed for data rates less than 1GByte/second, this being the case since the year 2000. He has a well founded disklike of FPGAs used for signal processing (at least until he knows the sums work and that they are the right sums), and is beginning to think that GPUs might just be getting the point of usability.
He's been doing this for more years than he cares to remember having cut his parallel teeth on Inmos Transputers back in the early nineties (an experience that still gives him nightmares). He believes that there is only one true programming language - C - though grudgingly admits that C++ can be quite neat sometimes. In all that time he's written only one program with a GUI.
