I completed my PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Iowa. Now I am working in bioinformatics as a Postdoc at Baylor College of Medicine analyzing whole-genome-bisulfite sequencing data.
One of my top interests is in creating tools that allow researchers to be more productive. By decreasing the time scientists have to spend performing redundant and repetitive tasks they can better focus their skills on what they do best.
My language of choice is Python. And I am presently looking for an excuse to learn and work more with C++.
